What Were Those Weird Lights In the Skies Over North Carolina?
Many North Carolina residents were left wondering about a cluster of lights that mysteriously appeared about the state’s Indian Trail community. Facebook was the connecting point for locals, with many posting to the “What’s Up Indian Trail” community page.
Alisa Homewood, a Charlotte resident, witnessed the phenomenon stated that there was, “No sound at all. They flickered like lanterns but followed the same exact path up until they disappeared, which was odd.” She went on to say that ” My initial thought when I saw the lights was it was the helicopters in the distance, but as the lights got closer, there was no sound. Then they went straight up into the sky and disappeared. No smoke, no debris”.
Homewood’s comment has gotten attention from the community. Many offering their own insights and opinions about what the phenomenon was from a SpaceX rocket to a UFO (Unknown Flying Object). Pictures that she took capture a glowing trio of lights in a halo of blue, which is hard to explain. “The blue light I didn’t notice until after I took the pictures. In the sky, it did not look blue. It looked like a group of bright lights,” she said, according to Charlotte Observer reporter, Mark Price. “I thought it was odd though, that a few people have seen and photographed that same blue-ish grouping of lights.”
The UFO sighting in Charlotte is one in the latest of what has been a sharp rise in sightings since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent declassification of more than 30 years of UFO documentation by the CIA has validated many American’s interest in the extraterrestrial phenomenon happening in our country.
