A “Baby Dinosaur” Caught on Security Camera in Florida!

A Florida woman believes that her home security camera has captured footage of a baby dinosaur!

Palm Coast resident Cristina Ryan says her security camera captured footage of what looks very much like a baby velociraptor straight out of the movie Jurassic Park running through her yard. She shared the unusual footage, which has since gone viral, with local TV affiliate FOX35.

“Any animal we can come up with that would be ‘walking’ at 3:40 in the morning, wouldn’t walk this way,” she told FOX 35 News. “Maybe I’ve watched ‘Jurassic Park’ too many times, but I see a raptor or other small dinosaur!”

She says everyone she’s shown the video to comes up with the same conclusion: it looks like a baby dino.

“Some say a large bird, but that makes no sense — since whatever it is appears to have front legs.  So not sure? Lol. I’m sticking with raptor myself,” she joked.

Viewers online have been debating furiously about what the animal could be.

“Looks like a Komodo dragon or some type of lizard!” one person commented.

“That is a dog wearing a harness dragging a leash. You can see all four legs and the harness and leash dragging behind it,” another said.

One commenter wrote, “UFO recently sighted and guess this could be the CEO checking things out.”

FOX35 anchors said, “We’re sure there is a logical explanation for this,” but watch the video here and decide for yourself.

Whatever this image turns out to be, it is certainly not the first “modern-day” dinosaur sighting. Perhaps the most famous “cryptid” in the world, the Loch Ness Monster, is said to be a dinosaur or something related to them. There is also something large and prehistoric said to be inhabiting Lake Champlain in the Adirondacks, and for over a century, the Congo has been said to be the home of the Mokele-mbembe, a creature that resembles a “small sauropod.”

Is it possible the dinosaurs could actually still be living among us in Florida or any of these other places? Scientists say that it is highly unlikely. However, there have been other instances of creatures thought to long be extinct, suddenly making an appearance. The most famous of these is the Coelacanth, a “prehistoric” fish that lived over 400 million years ago and was believed to be extinct since the age of the dinosaurs until a South African fisherman caught one in 1938. The Coelacanth is a prime example of what biologists refer to as a “Lazarus Taxon” – a species that appears to have returned from the dead.

At least a dozen other Lazarus Taxons have been proven to exist. So, maybe this Florida woman’s security camera captured something truly amazing!
