A Russian photographer and his nude models have been arrested for the photoshoot involving the bevy of unclothed beauties on a balcony overlooking the streets of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Eleven Ukrainian women and a Russian male photographer have been arrested over the naked photoshoot that took place on a Dubai balcony.  

According to the BBC, authorities caught wind of the unabashed photoshoot when some pictures of the sexy nude women began to circulate. Among the charges, the group faces are public debauchery for allegedly violating the country’s uber-strict decency laws. 

The penalty for the charges is up to six months behind bars and a fine of nearly $1,500.

The hoopla erupted after more than a dozen nude models were photographed standing on a high-rise apartment balcony in the United Arab Emirates city — with salacious snaps of the sexy lineup hitting social media soon after and causing a stir.

The videos and images of the more than a dozen women — lined up in their birthday suits in Dubai’s upscale Marina neighborhood, shocked the federation of seven Arab sheikhdoms.

In the footage, a woman in a green dress and high heels is seen snapping photos of the nude group as another person shoots video from a neighboring balcony.

Radha Stirling, director of Detained in Dubai, said the X-rated shoot is believed to be part of a campaign for an Israeli porn channel.

“Initially, we were being told that it was the Israeli branch of a US adult website, and now we hear that it’s an Israeli porn channel,” Stirling told the UK publication Metro.

“We have been told it’s a mixture of nationalities involved,” she added, without elaborating.

Stirling, who founded the London-based advocacy organization, called the stunt “brazen” and said it has upset both locals and ex-pats living in the country.

“It’s a pretty brazen and severe crime to stand out there on the balcony where everyone could see them and people on other balconies could film them for footage which has gone viral,” she told the outlet.

Some of the models are tattooed “social-media sexpots” who are known to pose in barely-there bikinis amid glittering cityscapes.

The Ukrainian consulate confirmed to the BBC that 11 of its female citizens were detained in the UAE roundup over the steamy balcony photoshoot.

According to Russian news outlets, a Russian man, apparently, the photographer who organized the scene — taking footage from a nearby balcony — was also arrested.
