Suppression By The Big Tech Titans
Big-tech companies have been silently smothering your communication and expression. These companies have controlled your decisions by manipulating your knowledge, communication, and news from family and friends, media networks, and our nation’s leaders.
Does this sound like a conspiracy? Does it make you feel uneasy, and somewhat unsafe? Following are four cases just from 2020 depicting the larger effort of big-tech to quash our voices.
President Donald Trump Post-Election Communication Stifled
Twitter and Facebook, the social media titans, made the decision to block the free speech of President Trump. They both made the decision to censor many of President Trump’s posts by placing warning notices directly on them. This was done to President Trump’s authentic official accounts.
Within 48 hours of the November 3rd election Twitter had placed warnings on 8 of President Trump’s tweets. Though Facebook was not quite so zealous, both companies actively added warning labels to his tweets, sometimes several times a day.
Titans Collaborate Suppression
In front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on November 17 Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg hesitantly divulged the coordination of Facebook, Twitter, and Google to mute President Trump.
Zuckerberg testified the deed was carried out with an internal system called “Tasks” on Facebook servers to allow the companies to share communications and strategize.
Election News Censorship
Twitter notified users that posts from candidates, campaigns, other large accounts communicating election results would be labeled. Further, only seven media companies were allowed to post to Twitter. Fox News was the sole conservative network on the list.
Hunter Biden Shielded
The New York Post published a story on October 14th detailing emails by Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son. The emails revealed deceptive influence-peddling during foreign big-dollar business deals.
Posts by White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee concerning this suspicious activity were censored.
These four instances are but a small example of the unfair actions by these titans to silencing free speech. Wonderfully, Congress maintains the effort to stop censorship and protect our freedom. This may be done by changing the laws allowing these titans to behave such.
Facebook, Twitter and Google have coordinated to mute not only President Trump, but all the people of America. They turned off the sounds of freedom in America, turning all of us into deaf-dumb slaves. Censorship covered the whole country. Congressional efforts to end censorship are clearly not enough.
