Popular Conspiracy Theory Says Actor Keanu Reeves is Immortal!

Some of actor Keanu Reeve’s roles could certainly be considered legendary, but some conspiracy theorists think Keanu’s acting chops are so good because he has been at his craft for a lot longer than you think – like forever!

Sometimes you just cannot make this stuff up. There is a very popular “conspiracy theory” out there that says that Keanu is an immortal!

The theory started in 2009 when someone on Reddit posted a photo of French actor Paul Mounet noted his likeness to Reeves. The theory was then further fueled by the fact that when Mounet passed away in 1922 at 74 years old, and his body was never found, leading conspiracy theorists to believe that Mounet is Reeves. In 2010, the website Keanu is Immortal was launched, and it consists of several conspiracy theorists pointing to information that “proves” Reeves is immortal and just goes through different identities throughout the centuries.

As you land on the website, visitors are greeted with a collage of Keanu Reeves throughout the years, along with his alleged identities. The first one on the list is Charlemagne, the emperor who ruled Western Europe from 768 to 814. Next on the list of identities is a painting of an unknown man made by Italian painter Parmigianino in 1530. The third is the aforementioned one that allegedly sparked the immortal Keanu theory, that of Paul Mounet.

To the casual observer, the people mentioned do have a resemblance to Reeves, but I am sure each of us can find pictures of others hundreds of years ago that look like us.  The website’s creator, Davide, claims to provide further proof of Keanu’s immortality beyond the photo evidence.

According to Davide, Reeves has amassed a huge fortune, greater than could have been acquired from his modern-day acting career alone, and he is extraordinarily generous with it. Davide claims that his massive riches and kind heart to part so easily with his money to help others – are both evidence of an “exceptionally long life.” One example Davide cites is when Reeves gave away the majority of his “Matrix” trilogy earnings to the crew that worked hard behind the scenes. When asked why he did it, he answered, “Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries.”

It seems like Reeves is set for the next few hundred years of his life.

Of course, “Keanu is Immortal” is just another social media fueled “conspiracy theory.” Or is it? The prolific actor himself has neither confirmed nor denied the theory.

In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on his late-night show, the host confronted Reeves about his supposed immortality, to which he answered: “We’re all stardust baby!”
