Hunter Biden Sought Reality Star Fame as Dad Ran for Pres!

According to new reporting by the New York Post, Hunter Biden, the controversial son of Joe Biden, sought a taker for a reality show starring himself while his father was running for president.

According to the Post, the younger Biden and his wife pitched a reality show focusing on the first son’s charity work weeks after his father, Joe Biden, launched his presidential campaign in 2019. The source for the information is a newly released “tell-all” book on the inner workings of the Democratic Party.

Edward-Isaac Dovere writes in “Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats’ Campaigns to Defeat Trump” that Hunter and wife Melissa Cohen approached producers with the “hazy concept” that summer. According to an excerpt first reported by Fox News, Hunter suggested the proposed show would “would also help soften his father’s image.”

According to Dovere, one of the producers asked Hunter if the elder Biden approved of the project. “I know where the line is,” Hunter answered, “and my dad is understanding of what I am up to.”

It was unclear exactly what charitable work Hunter Biden wanted the reality show to spotlight. Earlier this year, he stepped down as co-chair of the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children, which is named after Hunter’s late brother and works to prevent child abuse. Another charity, the Biden Cancer Initiative, suspended operations in July 2019, three months after Joe Biden announced his presidential run.

Dovere writes in the book that Hunter Biden “spent his life trading on his father’s name” while father Joe “was protective, always stepping in to help him along.”

In October 2020, it was the New York Post that uncovered a trove of emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop that detailed his overseas business interests and raised questions about Joe Biden’s knowledge of them. The messages revealed that Hunter Biden introduced a top executive at Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings to his father, then vice president, less than a year before Joe Biden pressured Ukrainian officials into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company.

Other emails revealed Hunter was discussing potential business deals with China’s largest privately-held energy company. “Hunter had no background in the natural resources business … he just happened to be named to the board of an energy company in the one country that had become his father’s top foreign policy priority,” Dovere writes. “Joe was aware, but not involved, always ready to again trust his son to do it right this time.”

When asked by the Post if he could believe the source of the information about Hunter he details in his book, Dovere provided a statement that said his book “was drawn from extensive reporting,” including “over 400 interviews over four years.”

The Post reports that the White House has declined comment on the book or any of its accusations leveled at Hunter.

  3. “and my dad is understanding as to what I am up to ” This is the quote Hunter used when talking about if his dad knew what he was doing about wanting a reality TV show. Do you suppose this quote was used about the business meetings Hunter set up when dad was in office ?
