US Telcos Battle For 5G Despite Unknown Health Risks

  26 Apr 2019

In case you missed the memo, on April 3, 2019, telecommunications provider Verizon introduced the first 5G phone to the global market. This is Big News down on Conspiracy Street.

Telco industry giants are steamrolling their new 5G radio frequency (RF) wireless communications technology despite increasing protests from the consuming public over the questionable safety of this completely untested technololgy that is being forced on Us the People by these few profit-seeking corporations and our own government.

The Motorola Moto Z3 is a $479 add-on to the Moto Mod for Motorola’s modular Z-series of smartphones. Naturally, the system is proprietary to Verizon – they own patents on the technology and it will work only on their 5G network.

That’s how they get you.

Not to be bested by the likes of Verizon, AT&T conducted quiet 5G hotspot trials with businesses in 19 cities and rolled out their 5G mobile network. On March 29, AT&T announced that its mobile 5G speed has surpassed 1 gigabit per second (gps), the first U.S. telephony carrier to do so.

“This type of speed is equivalent to downloading a 2-hour HD movie in 20 seconds,” according to the Big Telco.

Of course, AT&T has its own proprietary system, with its own Netgear Nighthawk 5G Mobile Hotspot device, compatible only with AT&T’s 5G network. Presently, those are few and far between. Furthermore, you have to receive an invitation from AT&T for the privilege of paying them your hard-earned money for screamin’ broadband telephony service that just ain’t happening yet because “the router’s WiFi isn’t fast enough to guarantee peak speeds. You’ll have to wait for 5G smartphones and WiFi 6-equipped hotspots before the technology can live up to is potential.”

Here’s the inside skinny, according to service testers from PC Magazine, as reported on April 16, 2019:

“Verizon’s 5G in Chicago, right now, only covers parts of downtown and seems to get about 300 feet of distance from each cell site. AT&T’s 5G in Dallas gave us 1.3Gbps speeds and about 600 feet of range—but only at two locations in the city. Neither system can do uploads on 5G yet, and neither has the low latency 5G promises.”

If you ask AT&T, “What is 5G?” here is the answer:

“5G is the next generation of mobile communication. More than just faster speeds, 5G will be a whole new kind of network. One we expect to be faster, smarter, and able to respond in close to real time. A network that will ultimately enable new experiences that will change how we live, work, and play.

“Past advances in network technology paved the way for video chat, live streaming, ridesharing, and more. What started as bold new ideas are now part of our everyday lives. As the use of 5G phones and devices spreads, 5G will change how you connect to what you love.”

These “bold new ideas” are pushing expensive, massively powerful microwave towers and transceivers (capable of both sending and receiving signals) on the general public, under the guise of the old “It’s good for you,” excuse.

But 5G isn’t good for Us the People. It’s good for Them, Big Telco and Big Government.

“The latest 5G wireless technology relies on the deployment of many more new antennas and transmitters that are clustered lower to the ground and closer to homes and schools. There has been even more limited research with respect to the health ramifications of 5G technology, and the FCC has thus far failed to adequately explain how they have determined 5G is safe,” said U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal after he posed tough questions to Big Telco representatives during the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee hearing on the future of 5G wireless technology and its impact on the American people and economy on February 7, 2019.

On Congressional record, the wireless industry reps “admitted the industry has done ZERO health & safety studies on 5G technology.”

There has been no scientific research on the health effects of 5G in the U.S. The National Toxicology Program released the most recent findings in November 2018, and those applied only to 2G and 3G cell phones.

However, other nations are not gulled by the cheerful promises from 5G-pushing Big Telcos.

On April 9, 2019, the Cantonal Parliament of Vaud (one of Switzerland’s 26 cantons or member states of the Swiss Confederation) adopted a resolution which called for a moratorium on 5G antenna operations until the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment releases a safety report on the new microwave technolgoy.

On April 11, the Canton of Geneva followed suit and passed a preliminary ban on the construction of 5G antennae.

The Geneva government has stated that it will rescind the 5G ban only after reviewing results of independent scientific findings on the possible health risks from 5G radiation exposure requested from the World Health Organisation (WHO).

We the People of the United States would be well-advised to do the same and block the industry-wide rollout of 5G RF until the health risks have been analyzed and assessed. It is no exaggeration to say that the nation’s well-being is at stake.
