Newly-elected to Congress Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) has been outspoken and controversial enough to warrant her membership in the “squad” of four “progressive” liberal junior representatives who are on a campaign of improving this great nation by disrespecting American values and trash-talking the Commander-in-Chief, even supporting efforts to impeach him from office.

Omar preaches love but has a hateful tongue where the United States and Israel are concerned. She supports the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and the Sanctions movement.

“She is, to put it bluntly, an Islamist hater of Israel,” said one political analyst.

In one 2014 example, Omar tweeted a prayer during hostilities between Israel and Hamas (a Palestinian Sunni-Islamist fundamentalist organization), beseeching “Allah to awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

On February 11, 2019, President Donald Trump criticized freshman Rep. Omar for her tweet which even fellow Democratic House leaders decried as “anti-Semitic” for stating that funding for her critics is coming from lobbyists at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Omar did some quick-stepping public relations damage control soon afterward, tweeting an apology:

“Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes. My intention is never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole.”

But that wasn’t enough to satisfy President Trump who told reporters on Air Force One as he flew to El Paso, Texas for his first political rally of the year:

“I think she should be ashamed of herself. I think it was a terrible statement. And I don’t think her apology was adequate.”

CAIR is a Muslim civil rights and advocacy group that was actually created in 1994 as an “organization that challenges stereotypes of Islam and Muslims.”

In March 2019, Omar spoke at an event in Los Angeles, California, hosted by CAIR. She began her remarks by misstating that the group was founded in the anti-Muslim American aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks which killed nearly 3,000 people. Following is how Omar rewrote American history:

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

Terming the 9/11 attacks as “something” that “some people did” ignited bipartisan outrage and protests. A guilt psychologist would have a field day with that slip of the tongue.

On May 31, 2019, Omar called Israel in a tweet an “apartheid regime.”

Omar likes to repeat that “when Islam is mentioned” in the country where she was naturalized, people are “only talking about terrorists.”

Registered Republican Paul has served as the junior United States Senator from Kentucky since 2011, working with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. His father, former U.S. Representative Ron Paul (R-TX), ran for U.S. President in 1988, 2008, and 2012. Both father and son are outspoken advocates of Libertarian values such as reduced government and transparent accountability at every official level.

On July 24, during an interview conducted by Breitbart, Sen. Paul suggested that he Rep. Omar might well benefit from a trip to the country of her birth, which happens to be Somalia, one of the nations President Trump</a> referred to as a “sh*thole” in January 2018.

Paul observed:

“I’ve met people who have come here from behind the Iron Curtain. They got away from communism, they’re some of the best Americans we have, because they really appreciate how great our country is, and then I hear Representative Omar say America is a terrible place.”

The Senator from Kentucky continued debunking Omar:

“‘I thought there’d be justice but there’s no justice here.’ It’s like, she came here and we fed her, we clothed her, she got welfare, she got school, she got healthcare, and lo and behold she has the honor of actually winning a seat in Congress and she says we’re a terrible country.”

Sen. Paul spoke for many when he concluded regarding Omar’s negative attitude toward her adoptive nation:

“I think that’s about as ungrateful as you can get.”

On July 27, Sen. Paul tweeted:

“I’m willing to contribute to buy her a ticket to visit Somalia. She can look and maybe learn a little bit about the disaster that is Somalia. After she’s visited Somalia she might come back and appreciate America more.”

Less than two weeks ago, on July 14, 2019, President Trump sent a series of three tweets with his observation that it was:

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

Sen. Paul stepped up to the President’s challenge and said that Omar might be humbled by visiting the Muslim dictatorship where she was born before enjoying the privilege of U.S. citizenship:

“I’m not saying we forcibly send her anywhere. I’m willing to contribute to buy her a ticket to go visit Somalia. I think she can look and maybe learn a little bit about the disaster that is Somalia.”

They do say a change is as good as a rest. Perhaps a bit of foreign travel would give Ms. Omar a different view of life here in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave?
