BREAKING: Veterans and Ex Officials Speak Out In Disgust Over Biden’s Afghanistan Speech
Veterans, as well as current and former lawmakers and government officials, are all speaking out in disgust following President Biden’s speech about his failure in Afghanistan.
Former assistant defense secretary, under Ronald Reagan, Francis “Bing” West, warned that al Qaeda “will again show its viper head” and said President Biden was “disingenuous” during his address Monday.
Biden dug in on his decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan during his speech, despite that the Taliban has swept through the nation. The Taliban quickly captured territory, invaded the capital city, and took control of the presidential palace.
“We’ve lost the war,” West told Fox News in an exclusive interview following Biden’s address. “I don’t care how President Biden tries to present it.”
“We’re the losers coming out looking like losers the way things are happening at the airport,” West, who served as an assistant defense secretary under President Reagan, continued.
The airport outside of Kabul fell into mayhem after the Taliban invaded the city, with Afghan and foreign nationals – including U.S. citizens – trying to escape the country. At least seven people died in the chaos.
“I was struck with how defensive [Biden] was, almost angry that this could be happening because he’s so much in the right,” West told Fox News. “He’s not in the right, and he didn’t tell the truth.”
“He was disingenuous,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Senator Lindsey Graham had even harsher words for Biden soon after the speech.
“President Biden chose a dangerous and dishonorable path in Afghanistan, and he has no one to blame for this debacle but himself,” Graham said in a statement on Biden’s speech.
“With today’s speech, President Biden reinforced the view he still does not understand the War on Terror or how to protect America from the threat of radical Islam,” he continued. “The speech was a pathetic attempt to shift blame and an unnerving analysis of the situation he – and he alone – created. Contrary to what he may say or think, President Biden has not ended the war in Afghanistan. He is simply creating a new chapter – one that will be filled by Taliban thugs and al-Qaeda murderers.”
Biden spent much of his speech pinning the blame for the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan on others, most notably the Afghan military and government.
“We gave them every chance to determine their own future,” Biden said of the Afghan military. “What we could not provide them was the will to fight for that future.”
The president insisted that he stands by his decision to have U.S. forces leave the country, arguing that no more U.S. troops should die in the conflict if those who live there aren’t willing to make the same sacrifice.
“American troops cannot, and should not, be fighting in a war and dying in a war that Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves,” Biden said
But Biden did acknowledge that the speed at which the situation unfolded did catch his administration off guard.
“Truth is, this did unfold more quickly than we had anticipated,” Biden admitted.
But that acknowledgment was not enough for Graham and others who have also slammed the president for making the decision to pull troops out, to begin with, and his completely botched execution of same.
During an MSNBC interview in which the liberal hosts were heaping effusive praise on Biden’s speech, guest, former CIA analyst Matt Zeller, countered by saying, “I feel like I watched a different speech than the rest of you guys. I was appalled. There was such a profound bald-faced lie in that speech. The idea we planned for every contingency? I have been personally trying to tell this administration since it took office. I have been trying to tell our government for years this was coming. We sent them plan after plan on how to evacuate these people. Nobody listened to us.”
This is going to be the beginning of this country’s demise. You think 20 years ago on 9/11 was bad, watch what’s coming in on planes from Afghanistan, and what’s come through the southern border since 1/20/21. I have a very uneasy feeling about this, especially being someone who sees, reads, and listens to what’s going on in history and politics. Americans not in the know better wake up. This is no longer a time to watch us lose our country. Our international enemies are really watching us, especially China and Russia, Iran. I pray God Almighty to protect us all.

Biden surely didn’t go well, but to blame this demise all on him is all wromg. Under Trump Pompeia (spelling?), met with the Taliban and arranged a schedule for when we would get out of Afghanistan. The Taliban took advantage of this to take over slow control of villages and districts. So they were pretty well in control of the country when our withdrawal began. It’s an unfotunate turn of events. However, we should have learned a lesson when Russia failied in Afghanstan. We can not impose a democracy on those who don’t want it. It’s as simple as that!

their supporters, which we are still dealing with, but it looks like the “Biden Blunder” will take the title.
I hope Main Stream Media and the other media outlets will continue to put pressure on Biden and his decision as to how they were going to remove the troops from Afghanistan. THERE WAS NO PLAN. Why would you look to remove troops before you removed the diplomats AND those that helped us ? In my opinion Biden was looking for a “win” with public opinion as he has not had any.
The border is a mess. Vaccinating the American people is a mess. Inflation is a mess to the economy. People see this and realize Biden does NOT know what he is doing. He and his administration have put America back 15-20 years and he has done this in 6-7 months.
Should have never entered Afghanistan in the first place. Now that Biden has performed this dismal pull out it is time to face reality. The middle east is a quagmire and ot always h as been and always will be. This is why American needs to be energy dependent. We can not solve the entire planet’s woes. China will find itself right where Russia was and the US is now. Let them mire themselves in a no win scenario. Begging OPEC nations is not a sustainable foreign policy and depending on the Arab nations will only put a target on the backs of the US. Trump’s deals that would have Muslim nations recognize Isreal is now dead. No Arab nation will trust the United States again. They will now understand the fickle nature of American leadership. Close the borders regain energy independence and stop trying to nation build. Showing weakness on the world stage is a dangerous thing to show to those who would do us harm. It embolden them much like defunding the police. These ridiculous policies fail time after time yet half of this nation still continues to vote for such lackluster political hacks. They make feel good promises that only deliver disaster and suffering of our own nation. Simply ridiculous to think playing patty cake with despots will prove effective. Grow up America this is not a game.

Biden’s Afghanistan speach is among the worst that he has thus far given! That Americans are still continuing to have Biden as their Pres. only shows them as a group of ignorant people that haven’t yet realized just how destructive and useless Joe Biden is! Afghanistan is only one of the useless speaches Biden has made and yet, no one has yet come forward to request his removal! It’s more than a little shocking that Americans are so complacent as to keep a man who has thus far been the person who has been the most destructive in dealing with Afghanistan and who has created the most difficulties in relating to them! When Americans will come to their senses and remove Biden is unknown but there’s no doubt that eventually they’ll realize how much havoc he has reaped and how much more he’ll yet realise until the American people finally understand what stupidity they have have commited in having Joe Biden as their president!
